What happens if I don’t use a licensed commercial refrigeration treatment company?

As well as acting in a way that could damage the environment, you could also face a large fine.

Fines in excess of £5000 can be applied for breaches of hazardous waste laws and directors can be made liable as well as the company.

The law applies whether or not you believe you are acting in the correct manner. It’s your responsibility to ensure that hazardous waste from your business is disposed of legally.

What paperwork do I need to dispose of refrigeration equipment?

When refrigeration equipment is transported from a commercial or an industrial source, it must be accompanied by a hazardous waste consignment note. eSynergy will raise and complete all necessary documentation, which will be handed over to the driver prior to collection.
